Robert has developed his own unique training methods, all aimed at syncing the body and mind in preparation for competing against the best. Our coaches believe that a rigorous training system not only develops physical strength, but also the mental stamina required to compete at the highest levels of the game. At No Excuse Produce, we keep up with the latest training techniques and methodologies, and consistently push our athletes to the limit.

ROBERT HUNTER
Founder & CEO
Lets Get Better Together - Training for Greatness
Robert Hunter is a lifelong basketball enthusiast, accomplished former player, and dedicated coach with a passion for developing athletes on and off the court. As a former Head Men's Basketball Coach at MassBay Community College, Hunter left a lasting legacy through his commitment to excellence and leadership.
During his playing career, Hunter excelled at MassBay Community College, where he was a two-time All-State player, two-time All-New England Region player, an NJCAA All-National honoree, and the MVP of the Onondaga Tournament in Syracuse, NY. He went on to play at Worcester State University, where he scored over 1,000 career points, earned First-Team All-MASCAC honors twice, and was named MASCAC Player of the Week five times. After his playing career, Hunter transitioned into coaching, starting as the Freshmen Men’s Basketball Coach at Doherty High School in Worcester. He later joined the coaching staff at MassBay Community College as an Assistant Coach under Hall of Fame Coach Bill Raynor. During the 2016-2017 season, Hunter helped guide the Bucs to a New England Region 21 Championship and a berth to the National Tournament in Minnesota, where the team finished 5th in the nation with a 27-7 record. As Head Coach, he led MassBay to their 13th consecutive playoff berth, further solidifying the program’s success.
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Hunter is the founder of No Excuse Produce, one of the top youth basketball training programs in Worcester and Central Massachusetts. Over the past four years, No Excuse Produce has become a trusted name in youth basketball development, currently training hundreds of kids across Central Massachusetts. The program offers camps, clinics, group and 1:1 training sessions, and competitive AAU basketball teams. No Excuse Produce also partners with multiple nonprofit youth organizations, providing opportunities for underserved communities to access high-quality basketball training and mentorship.

Maffi Nathan
Basketball Skills Trainer
Coach Nathan Maffi brings over 10 years of playing and coaching experience to No Excuse Produce Basketball. A former guard, he specializes in ball handling, shooting, footwork, and player development. Coach Maffi previously led our NEP 3rd Grade AAU team to two championship game appearances in their very first season.
Known for his positive energy and ability to connect with young athletes, Coach Maffi helps players build confidence, improve their skills, and take their game to the next level—all while making basketball fun.

Jack Margoupis
Basketball Skills Trainer
With a strong background in competitive basketball, Jack played scholastically at Cushing Academy and Marianapolis Prep in Massachusetts. He was a top-three finalist for Central Massachusetts Player of the Year and recognized as an All-Academic All-American standout. Continuing his athletic career at the collegiate level, he now plays for a D2 school. During his off season, he works with No Excuse Produce to developing well-rounded athletes on and off the court. His skill development training can elevate young basketball players, helping them unlock their full potential and take their game to the next level!

Nate Edwards
Sr. Basketball Skills Trainer
Nate has played at both the collegiate and high school level, in which he averaged 15.5 pts, 12.3 reb, 8.4 ast, and 3.5 blk. His skills helped him earn a league MVP & championship. As a taller guard, Nate can train and specializes on both ends of the floor. Whether it's ball handling, basketball movement, or driving to the hoop, Nate's expertise will advance a player's skills in no time!
